How to get things done
A short guide to using Khohari, a few recipes for jobs people do all the time, and what to try when something misbehaves.
The basics
- Pick a tool. Use the search box on the home page, the category tabs at the top, or the A–Z list.
- Add your file or type your numbers. For file tools, press the big button, drop a file onto the page, or paste an image with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac).
- Adjust the options on the right, then press the main button. Where it makes sense you get a live preview first.
- Download or copy the result. Nothing is sent anywhere. The result is made on your device.
Working with files
What can I add?
Image tools take JPG, PNG and WebP (some also GIF and SVG). PDF tools take PDFs. If a file is refused, the pop-up tells you what that tool accepts.
How big can files be?
On a computer: 100 MB per file, 50 files at once, 500 MB in total. On a phone: 50 MB per file, 25 files, 200 MB in total. The FAQ has the details and tips for large files.
Chaining tools
When a tool finishes, the result card offers other tools that make sense next, such as compressing a PDF you just merged. Choosing one hands the file over directly, so you don’t need to download and re-upload it.
Many files at once
Most tools let you add several files and show them in a queue. Where order matters, as it does when merging, you can rearrange the files. Where a tool produces several results, you can download them together as one ZIP.
Everyday jobs
Make a PDF small enough to email
Use Compress PDF. If it is still too big, split it into parts.
Turn photos into one PDF
Add them to JPG to PDF, put them in order and pick a page size.
Combine several PDFs
Use Merge PDF. Need to drop pages first? Remove pages first, then merge.
Get a photo under a size limit
Try Compress Image in Target KB mode, or resize it.
Make a passport-size photo
Crop and size it in Passport Size Photo, then print several on one sheet.
Share a photo without its location
Run it through Image Metadata Remover.
Sign a form
Open Sign PDF, create your signature and place it on the page.
Protect or unlock a PDF
Protect PDF adds a password. Unlock PDF removes one you already know.
Using the calculators
- Type your numbers and the result updates, or press Calculate where a tool has that button. Most calculators explain the formula under the result.
- Many calculators let you switch units, for example metric and US measurements in the health tools.
- Finance tools pick a currency for you based on where you are and let you change it. The choice is remembered on your device.
- Results are estimates. Real lenders add fees and taxes, and health numbers are general information, not medical advice.
When something goes wrong
| What you see | What to try |
|---|---|
| The page or a tool won’t load | Refresh the page. If that doesn’t help, try another browser or turn off extensions that block scripts for this site. |
| The file is refused | Check the format and size. The pop-up names the types the tool accepts. |
| It is very slow | Add fewer files, close other tabs, or switch from a phone to a computer for large files. |
| Download doesn’t start | Allow downloads for the site, free up some storage, then use the download button on the result card again. |
| A locked PDF won’t open | Enter its password when asked. Without it, no tool here can open the file. |
| Text in the result looks wrong | For scans, run PDF OCR first. Edit PDF draws some scripts as images, so that text isn’t selectable. |
| A calculator gives an odd result | Check units and whether a rate is yearly or monthly. If it still looks wrong, tell us. |
Still stuck? Check the status page, then send a bug report or contact us. Mention the tool and your browser, and we’ll take it from there.
Privacy in practice
Your files are processed on your device and not uploaded. You don’t need an account. A short list of preferences stays in your browser, and you can clear it any time. Details are on the privacy policy and cookies & storage pages.
