How this works
Type your text, set its size, opacity and angle, and watch it appear on your PDF page as you change it. Single puts one mark where you choose, or where you drag it; Tiled repeats it across the page. Apply it to every page, only odd or even pages, or a range such as 1-3, 5. Page through your document with the arrows under the preview. Everything happens in your browser — your PDF is never uploaded.
Common questions
Will it work with Hindi and other languages?
Yes. The text is drawn with your device's own fonts and placed on the page as an image, so any script your device can display works, including Devanagari, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The watermark text itself is not selectable in the saved PDF.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. On the Layout tab, under Pages, choose All, Odd, Even or Custom and type a range like 1-3, 5, 8- (the last one means page 8 to the end).
Does it work on rotated pages and scans?
Yes. The watermark is placed where you see it on the page, including on pages that are stored rotated, and it is drawn on top of the page content, so scanned pages work too.
What about password-protected PDFs?
A PDF that needs a password can be opened when you add it: you are asked for the password first. If a file still cannot be changed, open it in the Unlock PDF tool first, then come back and add the watermark.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The watermark is added in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
