A calculator that remembers what you typed

Every number on the input line stays clickable — tap one and retype it instead of clearing the whole line for one mistake. Results, memory (M+/M−/MR/MC) and calculation history are all saved to your browser so they survive a refresh.

How to use

  1. Type a calculation using the keypad or your keyboard
  2. Click any number already entered to correct it, if needed
  3. Press = to see the result, or check the history strip for past calculations

Common questions

Does the memory (M+ / M− / MR / MC) clear when I close the tab?

No — the stored value is saved to your browser's local storage, so it survives a refresh or closing the tab. It only resets when you press MC or clear your browser's site data.

Can I fix a typo without redoing the whole calculation?

Yes — click any number already showing on the input line and retype it; the result recalculates immediately, and the correction is logged as a fresh entry in the history panel.

What does the % key actually do here?

It follows the same convention as a physical calculator: after + or −, it turns the number into that percentage of the running total (200 + 10% adds 20), while after × or ÷ it's a plain percentage (200 × 10% = 20).
