What’s saved in your browser
We don’t set cookies of our own, and nothing we store is used to follow you around the web. We do save a few small things in your browser so the site remembers how you like it. The ad networks that show ads here may set cookies too, and this page explains both.

Cookies
Khohari doesn’t set cookies of its own when you browse or use the tools, and has no analytics cookies. Other parties can: the ad networks that serve ads on the site, and, in the case of the page font, Google Fonts. See the privacy policy for who is involved.
Advertising cookies
These are set by third-party ad networks, not by us. They are used to show and measure ads and to limit how often you see the same one, and, depending on the network and your consent, to personalise them. How long they last is up to the network, from a single visit to over a year. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first. You can manage them through that consent choice, your browser’s cookie settings, the network’s own ad settings, or opt-out tools such as optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
The sections below cover only what we store.
Browser storage we use
Your browser lets a site keep small pieces of data on your device, called local storage, session storage and IndexedDB. This is what we keep there. None of it is sent to us.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
Theme and accent colourtf_theme, accentColor | Remembers light or dark mode and the accent colour you picked. | Until you clear site data |
Favourite toolstf_fav | The tools you starred, shown on the home page. | Until you clear site data |
Calculator settings and historycalc_history_v1, hc.*, khohari_calc_sound_v1 | Your last-used values, recent calculations and key-sound choice. | Until you clear site data |
Currency choice and detected countrytf_currency, tf_currency_src, tf_geo_cache | Remembers the currency you use so finance tools open in it and the country lookup isn’t repeated. | Until you clear site data |
Saved signaturespdf_sig_library | Only if you save a signature in Sign PDF or Edit PDF, so you can reuse it. | Until you delete it or clear site data |
Tool preferenceswm_prefs, wmpdf_prefs, pp_size, pe_rail | Watermark settings, the passport photo size you chose and the editor’s panel layout. | Until you clear site data |
Expense Tracker rulestf_stmt_rules, tf_stmt_maps | Category rules and column choices you set, so the next statement is sorted the same way. The statement itself is not saved. | Until you clear site data |
| Hand-off between tools IndexedDB toolpipeline | When you press “continue with this file” on a result card, the file is parked here for the next tool to pick up. It is deleted as soon as it is read. | A moment |
Usage-statistics helperskh_sid, kh_seen, kh_ctrl_cache | Only used when anonymous statistics are on: a random id for the current tab, the day you first opened each tool (to tell if a tool is revisited), and a cached copy of site settings. | Tab session, or until you clear site data |
How to clear it
Every browser has a setting for this, usually under Privacy or Site data. Look for “Cookies and site data” or “Clear browsing data”, and choose this site. In Chrome and Edge you can click the icon next to the address bar, then Site settings, then Clear data. In Safari, use Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
Clearing it is harmless. The site simply forgets your preferences: your theme returns to the default, favourites are emptied and saved signatures are removed.
Blocking storage
If you block site storage entirely, the tools still work. You just lose the conveniences above.
