What does this Base64 converter convert?
Base64 is an encoding that represents binary data using only the 64 ASCII characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9, + and /. Mostly used to embed images in HTML/CSS, transmit data through text-only channels, or obscure-but-not-secure encoding.
How conversion works
Encoding maps every 3 bytes of input to 4 characters of output (using a 64-symbol alphabet). The output is about 33% larger than the input.
