Common questions
Does this use rounded decimals internally, or exact fractions?
Exact rational arithmetic throughout — every value is kept as a numerator/denominator pair and reduced with the greatest common divisor, so results like 1/3 + 1/6 come out as the precise 1/2 rather than a rounded decimal.
Is there a limit on how many decimal places I can type into a field?
Yes — up to 15 digits after the point. Beyond that the number can no longer be represented as an exact integer ratio and the tool won't silently round it.
Can I enter a mixed number like 2 3/4 directly?
Yes, in the Mixed Numbers section — type it as "2 3/4" (or "-1 1/2" for a negative one) and it's parsed into an exact fraction before the operation runs.
