How this works
This removes a password or permission restriction from a PDF you already have the password for — it asks for that password to open the file, then re-saves it without the encryption. It doesn't crack or guess passwords on files you don't have access to.
Common questions
Can this remove a password I don't know?
No — you need to enter the correct password before it can do anything. This tool removes protection you have legitimate access to, it isn't a password-cracking tool.
My PDF opens fine but I can't print or copy from it — will this help?
Yes — some PDFs open freely but have printing or copying disabled by permission flags rather than an open password. This tool detects that case too and can remove those restrictions.
